3. Psychotherapy Services

Initial Consultation

Initial consultations are used to assess suitability for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and determine whether the services offered are clinically appropriate. The Company reserves the right to decline or discontinue services where:

  • the therapeutic approach is not considered appropriate for your needs;
  • specialist or alternative support is more suitable; or
  • continuation of therapy would not be clinically appropriate or safe.

Where appropriate, alternative sources of support or referrals may be suggested.

Online Therapy

Therapy sessions may be delivered online using secure video conferencing platforms. You are responsible for:

  • ensuring access to a stable internet connection;
  • attending sessions from a private and appropriate environment; and
  • maintaining the confidentiality of your own devices and communications.

While reasonable measures are taken to use secure systems, no internet-based communication system can be guaranteed to be completely secure or uninterrupted.

In Person Therapy

Therapy sessions may also be provided in person at the practice location in Knowle, West Midlands. Clients are responsible for attending appointments at the agreed time and making appropriate travel arrangements. If you are unable to attend a face-to-face appointment due to illness, adverse weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances, the session may be rearranged or, where appropriate and feasible, converted to an online appointment by mutual agreement. Where a face-to-face appointment is converted to an online session at the client’s request with sufficient notice, the appointment will be treated as attended and the usual session fee will apply. The Company reserves the right to change the location of face-to-face appointments where necessary and will provide reasonable notice whenever possible

To maintain a fair and professional practice, the following cancellation policy applies.

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice will not incur a charge.

Late Cancellations and Non-Attendance

5. Fees and Payments

Current session fees will be communicated during the initial enquiry or consultation process. Fees may be updated from time to time, and reasonable notice will be provided where applicable. Payment Method Payments are accepted via bank transfer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
